About Me

My photo
Welcome to my blog. I'm a Mississippi country girl transplanted to Grapevine, TX. I have been blessed with a great husband, and my kiddos, Aleck and Ella. When I'm not eating bon bons on the couch, I am my kid's room mom, PTA member, Sunday School teacher, taxi driver, amateur photographer and personal chef. When I'm not doing those things, I'm running a small jewelry business, 2nd Amendment Jewelry (www.2ndamendmentjewelry.com), that I started with my twin sister, Glenda. It's a crazy and busy life, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in this world. I am so thankful for all the blessings in my life!

Aleck and Tom playing the guitar

Aleck absolutely loves music. When he was a baby, sometimes the only thing that could sooth AJ to sleep was his Dad singing and playing the guitar. What sweet memories of Tom standing over AJ's crib singing him to sleep. I am truly blessed.

As you can see from the pictures, without any help, AJ can climb up on the couch....and the fireplace, and the coffee table, and his rocking horse, and his dump truck. I can't take my eyes off him!

Brenda, my eyes literally teared up at your post. That is so sweet that Tom would sing him to sleep. I know what you mean about climbing onto everything. My housework is getting lax because I'm behind Preston constantly pulling him down off of something!!
Give him a kiss and a hug from aunt Heather! Love you all

Wait til he runs across the couch and falls off. Brooke did that and scared me to death. They think the couch is a toy. I am constantly telling them sit down on the couch.
I feel like a broken record.

I am thinking of going to open play tomorrow at Gymboree. Do you want to join us?
