Strep Throat and Ear Infections

Earlier this week Aleck developed a runny nose and cough. A few days later, Ella also developed a runny nose. I just thought they both had colds, but we are going out of town next week so I took the kids the see Dr. Karimi. Turns out Aleck has strep throat and Ella has bilateral ear infections, with the right ear being so bad that Dr. Karimi said her eardrum may rupture. This is Ella's third ear infection in three months so we may be looking at tubes in the future. Neither of them acted like they didn't feel well, with the exception of Ella not sleeping well last night. My poor babies. It breaks my heart when they are sick.
