About Me

My photo
Welcome to my blog. I'm a Mississippi country girl transplanted to Grapevine, TX. I have been blessed with a great husband, and my kiddos, Aleck and Ella. When I'm not eating bon bons on the couch, I am my kid's room mom, PTA member, Sunday School teacher, taxi driver, amateur photographer and personal chef. When I'm not doing those things, I'm running a small jewelry business, 2nd Amendment Jewelry (www.2ndamendmentjewelry.com), that I started with my twin sister, Glenda. It's a crazy and busy life, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in this world. I am so thankful for all the blessings in my life!

My Dearest Windows Live Writer,

Where have you been my whole blogging life?  With the busy life of raising two small children, time for blogging has been nonexistent.  Sure, I was in awe of the supermoms who could raise a family of 5 kids under 5 years-old,  and still find time to post several times a day.  I told myself that those kids must be going hungry and in serious need of a diaper change.  How else could a mother blog so frequently during the day?  Now I know the secrets that successful blog mommies whisper about in the corners of dark rooms.  It is you, my beloved Windows Live Writer.  You make multitasking while blogging possible.  I know we just met, but I think I love you.

fyi, your pictures will post to the blog with a low resolution so it gives you an extra step to create your blog book. Autum doesn't care, but it drives me nuts.

Cari,

I just started using live writer, but it looks like you can adjust the size of the photo upload. When I compared the size of the photos on my blog uploaded with live writer to photos uploaded directly to blogger the sizes are similar. Am I missing something? I want to make a blog book so resolution will definitely matter to me.

I am so glad you see the light. Live writer is amazing. When I make my blog books, I manually add my blog pictures from my computer, not from the blog post blurb pulls in. It takes more time, but I think it is worth it. You'll have to decide.

I haven't done a blurb book yet, but before I get too invested in live writer, I need to see how much extra work it is. This is the thing, even if in the long run it is a little more work to do my blurb book, at least I will have a book. Before I found live writer, I wasn't blogging any more because it was too cumbersome. April and Cari, I will let you know who's side I am on when I finish my blurb book. thanks so much for all the great advice you both provide!
