About Me

My photo
Welcome to my blog. I'm a Mississippi country girl transplanted to Grapevine, TX. I have been blessed with a great husband, and my kiddos, Aleck and Ella. When I'm not eating bon bons on the couch, I am my kid's room mom, PTA member, Sunday School teacher, taxi driver, amateur photographer and personal chef. When I'm not doing those things, I'm running a small jewelry business, 2nd Amendment Jewelry (www.2ndamendmentjewelry.com), that I started with my twin sister, Glenda. It's a crazy and busy life, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in this world. I am so thankful for all the blessings in my life!

With help from Tom who pushes her to the bottom, she can retrieve rings from 4 1/2 feet of water.DSC_7070

Aleck wanted to swim and was not happy about waiting for Mommy to take some pictures.  Patience, my child.

The class had circle time where they sang songs and practices blowing bubbles, scooping with their arms, and kicking with their feet.  Although the instructors were very nice, I was disappointed that they not once came around and offered instructions.  If the children weren’t in the circle singing, the instructors were hanging out talking to one another as you can see from the picture below.DSC_7008DSC_7232DSC_7242DSC_7241

One of the highlights from the week was Aleck going down the big slides.  He would take a slide and I would take the other slide and we would race to the bottom.  The first time I went down the slide, I giggled like a school girl.  I love how my children keep me young and show me the world all over again through their eyes.
