We had a crazy busy day today. Aleck goes to his first summer camp next week, so we started the day with Open House at Camp Thurman, a Christian camp in Arlington. We ran into Dede, Gary and the girls and we toured the camp together. They all agreed that the zip line was their favorite. Aleck is so excited. I’m pretty sure Ella is going to pitch one heck of a fit when she doesn’t get to stay on Monday.
After the open house, we headed to Aleck’s baseball game. No naps today!
We went home for a short break and then headed to an end of school pool party with some of Aleck’s classmates.
Ella loved the homemade ice cream.
Aleck loved hanging with his peeps.
As if we hadn’t already packed enough into one day, we headed to another pool party that was hosted by a guy that Tom works with who also attends our church. The pool was packed with little kids. Thankfully, one of our babysitters was there and she helped keep an eye on the kids. My kids love her so much that the last time Tom and I went on a date Ella refused to kiss me goodnight. We decided it was time to call it a day when I spotted Aleck sitting on a raft in the pool looking like he was about to fall asleep.
I’m thankful for good times with good friends, old and new.
