Aleck's First Birthday

I can’t believe a year ago tonight we were blessed with the arrival of Aleck. The past year has flown by. I spent most of the day reminiscing about the day Aleck was born. I would look at the clock and remember what was happening at that exact time one year ago. Today was an amazingly special day.

Aleck celebrated his 1 year birthday for the 3rd time tonight. We visited family in Alabama and Mississippi a few weeks ago, and had early birthday parties with our family. We celebrated his first party with Nana and Papaw Brooks, Tom's parents. We celebrated his second party in Mississippi a few days later with Mamaw and Papaw Hartness, my parents. I will post pictures from those parties later.

Tonight, we had a little celebration with Mike and Sami, dear friends that feel like family. Sami's daughter, Charli, was born 5 weeks after Aleck. Sami's Mom, Connie, cooked the best homemade Mac and Cheese...yum, yum! Joni, another dear friend, also helped us celebrate. What a special night! We are truly blessed.

Sleep deprivation is not fun!

Aleck is over his ear infection. Unfortunately, traveling coupled with an illness has his sleep schedule totally messed up! He is waking up 3 and 4 times a night. Thankfully, he slept through the night last night for the first time in weeks. I will try to catch up with blog posts this weekend. I have tons of pictures that I want to share from the last 3 weeks. Please pray that Aleck gets his nights and days straight.

Aleck has been sick

Hey guys. I am way behind on my blog because Aleck has had an ear infection since we got home from our trip. He is feeling much better, but now I have to catch up on all the housework. I will catch up on my blog this weekend. Have a Happy Easter.

Out of town visiting family

Aleck and I are visiting family in Mississippi and Alabama. I will update my blog when I get home this weekend.

Aleck's first snow

We had snow today. I bundled Aleck up and Eryn went outside with us to take pictures of the snow. Aleck LOVED the snow. We only stayed out a couple of minutes because I didn't want AJ to get too cold. Aleck had his first official temper tantrum when we came inside. He screamed and cried for 20 minutes because he wanted to go back outside and play in the snow.

Cow Puppet

Sorry I haven't posted this week. We are going out of town to visit family. I have been busy taking care of the "TO DO" list.

Joni came to visit today and brought this adorable cow puppet. When you move the puppet's mouth, the cow moos the song "Old McDonald Had A Farm". At first, Aleck wasn't so sure he wanted to have anything to do with the puppet, but he quickly decided it was loads of fun.
